Entre ellos, enlaces a páginas web relacionadas con los contenidos del libro, material con el que profundizar sobre lo estudiado y dos apéndices en los que se tratan el «SAI (Sistema de Alimentación Ininterrumpida)» y las «tabletas y smartphones». El autor, Isidoro Berral Montero, ingeniero de Telecomunicación por la Universidad de Málaga y catedrático de Sistemas Electrónicos, es docente de Ciclos Formativos de la familia profesional de Electricidad y Electrónica con más de 30 años de experiencia. Además, es autor de otras obras de formación publicadas por esta editorial.
