This real-time adjustment capability is crucial for maximizing your boat’s handling and stability.

The Schmidt Marine M120 generally requires minimal maintenance, primarily involving regular inspection of the hydraulic lines, connections, and the tabs themselves. Checking for signs of corrosion or wear is essential to ensure continued efficient performance. Additionally, keep the tabs clean and free from marine growth or debris. Bennett Marine Tools Editorial Review

The customer experience surrounding this product is decidedly mixed, drawing attention to both the frustrations and triumphs associated with using the trim tabs. While the initial excitement of purchasing a new set of hydraulic trim tabs was palpable, it was quickly dampened by a malfunctioning solenoid right out of the box. This led to a significant hassle for the user, compounded by slow customer service that left them feeling dissatisfied and angry, especially given the colder installation conditions. The requirement to return the non-functional solenoid prior to receiving a replacement added to the difficulty, causing inconvenience and frustration. Despite these setbacks, numerous users praised the overall functionality of the trim tabs once they were operational. Many noted that the ease of installation and the quality of the product contributed positively to their boating experience. The addition of the trim tabs not only improved boat balance while underway but also eliminated issues such as porpoising. Users appreciated the support provided by Tabman, a Bennett employee known for assisting DIYers with sizing and mounting challenges, reinforcing the community aspect of boating. In summary, while there are significant quality control and customer service issues to address, when functioning as intended, the product enhances the boating experience substantially, with easy installation and effective performance being recurring themes in positive feedback. **
