Despite being called a "weighted" heat pad, the only weighted parts are the front rolled part of the collar and the bottom of the trim. If you are specifically looking for a weighted pad, this may not be the ideal choice. Additionally, the pad does not have any additional weighting and is not Considered heavy. Some users have reported that it broke after just a month of use. While the two shoulder flaps do have electric coils, there are not many of them. The tie straps are each 2 feet long, providing sufficient length for securing the pad. Unfortunately, the automatic timer function cannot be disabled. If the timer is turned off, the entire unit shuts off as well. Despite these concerns, the seller has been responsive to customers experiencing issues with the product and has sent replacements to those with broken heating pads.
