The Sangean PRD5BK AM/FM Portable Radio is an excellent radio with some drawbacks. Its small footprint makes it easy to store and set up your favourite stations quickly. It is easy to navigate, and you can set up to ten pre-set stations. The speaker is 3" in diameter and produces a high-quality sound that can use batteries. However, the battery life is limited, and it drains batteries faster compared to analog radios when running and when "off." Additionally, it does not have a weather band or digital display, so it is not ideal as an emergency radio. The sound quality is not the best and seems to lack clarity at high volumes. The radio appears sturdy, and the buttons work well for the first two to three years, but gradually wear out, becoming very annoying. Also, the radio does not pick FM signals in some areas.
