Tung-Sol Tubes Editorial Review
The Tung-Sol Gold 12AX7 / ECC803S matched pair of tubes are a popular choice with audio enthusiasts for its impressive sonic outputs. The tubes are a cut above the standard 12AX7s and provide a lot more detail and tonal clarity. Customers have been using them in a range of audio equipment such as preamplifiers, phono preamps, and even bass amps with great success. The matched pair worked right out of the box for most customers, and it was an easy upgrade. The tubes were proven to be stable, and the impressive sound quality made them a worthwhile purchase for the price point. However, a few customers complained about one of the tubes burning out after just a few hours. One customer experienced one of the tubes failing after three months, but Viva Tubes replaced the tube without charge even though the warranty had expired. They received praise for their excellent customer service. Overall, the tubes are a highly recommended upgrade for anyone looking to improve their audio equipment's sound quality.
