Customer Questions & Answers

  • Question: What is the purpose of the Alternator Replacement New 11390N?

Answer: The Alternator Replacement New 11390N is designed to generate electrical power for your vehicle's systems while simultaneously charging the battery. It converts mechanical energy into electrical energy, which is essential for operating lights, the ignition system, and other electrical components. This part is crucial for maintaining the electrical functionality of your Honda Accord or Acura TSX. If you start noticing electrical issues or a warning light on your dashboard, it may indicate that your alternator is failing.
  • Question: Is the 11390N alternator compatible with my vehicle?

Answer: Yes, the 11390N alternator is specifically designed for 2.4L Honda Accord models produced between 2008 and 2012, and Acura TSX models from 2009 to 2014. Its specifications, including 130A output, 12V voltage, and CW rotation, ensure a proper fit and functionality in these vehicles. Before purchasing, it’s advisable to check your vehicle’s specifications to confirm compatibility and avoid any installation issues.
  • Question: How do I know if I need to replace my alternator?

Answer: Signs that you may need to replace your alternator include dimming headlights, a dead battery, dashboard warning lights, or strange noises coming from the engine. If your vehicle struggles to start or exhibits electrical failures while driving, it could indicate alternator failure. Regular checks after a specified mileage can help catch issues early, ensuring you address them proactively and maintain the reliability of your vehicle.
  • Question: Can I install the 11390N alternator myself?

Answer: Yes, many users find that installing the 11390N alternator can be a manageable DIY task if they have basic mechanical skills and the right tools. Begin by ensuring your vehicle is off and the battery is disconnected for safety. Follow manufacturer guidelines for removing the old alternator and installing the new one, paying attention to the belt routing and electrical connections. This can be a rewarding experience that saves on labor costs while ensuring your vehicle operates effectively.
  • Question: What features should I look for in a quality alternator?

Answer: When selecting an alternator like the 11390N, key features to consider include its power output, size specifications, construction quality, and compatibility with your vehicle type. Features such as a 130A output are essential for meeting your electrical needs. Additionally, look for designs that prioritize effective cooling and durability to enhance performance over time. These aspects contribute to a reliable product that will function effectively under various conditions.
  • Question: Is the 11390N alternator rebuilt or new?

Answer: The 11390N alternator is a new replacement part, ensuring you receive the highest quality and performance standards. New alternators are manufactured to strict guidelines and typically provide a longer lifespan compared to refurbished units. This enhances reliability and effectively meets the electrical demands of your vehicle. Opting for a new alternator can give you peace of mind regarding its efficiency and longevity.
  • Question: How do I maintain my alternator?

Answer: To maintain your alternator, regularly inspect the wiring and connections for signs of wear or corrosion. Keep the engine compartment clean to prevent dirt buildup that may affect performance. When servicing your vehicle, check the belt tension and condition, as a loose or frayed belt can lead to alternator inefficiency. These simple practices can prolong the life of your alternator and ensure reliable electrical system performance.
  • Question: What are the specs of the 11390N alternator?

Answer: The 11390N alternator features a 130A output, operates at 12V, and has a clockwise rotation with a 7-groove pulley. These specifications are vital for delivering sufficient electrical power to your vehicle's systems while charging the battery. Choosing an alternator with the right specs ensures compatibility with your Honda Accord or Acura TSX and maintains optimal performance, enhancing your vehicle's overall electrical functionality.
