Answer: Over the calf socks. This is essential. I also put a strip of moleskin on the bottom of the clip. I wear silk dress socks under my utility socks. I roll the thicker socks down - about 1” square roll to give the clips something to hold. The exposed dress sock takes the friction from the clip. I have hairy legs. -

Answer: The length is adjustable and stretches so it would fit someone quite taller or shorter too, as long as you are not a center in the NBA, it will work. -

How would the pant appear from the outside in sitting position?
Answer: It doesn't show. -

Does the clip hurt the fabric of the sock or shirt it is clipped to?
Answer: The clips didn’t hurt, nor the socks or the shirt. The clips just rubbed on my skin near my calf and after a while, the clips would come right off throughout the day.
