Answer: The ones I bought are 1.14mm. Don’t know if Andy James uses them, but these sharp pointed and 1.14mm thick purple ones were perfect for me. -

What size should I get for a 7-year-old beginner with a Squire affinity strat?
Answer: For a 7 yr old, I would suggest going with the pack of Orange Tortex picks. They are just the right size and flexibility for strumming and single note picking. Jazz III picks are less flexible, much smaller than standard picks and are more suitable for advanced players. -

Are these available in 1.35mm like the nylon red jazz III?
Answer: No, the red and black JAZZ III are 1.38mm. The Tortex 1.35mm is stiffer and thicker, so you can go for the 1.14mm version. -

Is the .60 pick smaller than a regular-sized pick?
Answer: Yes, it is the same size as a normal jazzIII pick, slightly thinner and made of tortex instead of nylon. It is great for lead, arpeggios, legato stuff, but not ideal for heavy strumming. -

Are these picks small?
Answer: Yes, they are smaller than other Dunlop picks, around 3/4 the size of a standard pick. -

I like them stiff like the Dunlop JP Jazz picks. What pick would you suggest?
Answer: Dunlop makes these picks in various sizes. The larger the number, the thicker or heavier the pick. I prefer medium thickness. -

Why does the picture of the 1.0mm size pick look different than a jazz III?
Answer: It could be the picture. Jazz III should be the same, just with different thicknesses. -
Question:
Is there any difference between the Pitch Black 1.14mm and the Purple 1.14mm other than the color?
Answer: No, there is no difference in performance between colors. It is only a matter of personal preference.
